About Wimbledon Debenture Tickets

What is a Wimbledon debenture ticket?

Wimbledon debenture tickets are the most coveted seats at The Championships.

They offer unrivalled views from club-level seating on Centre Court or No.1 Court—on the same tier as the Royal Box—alongside exclusive VIP access and hospitality.

Debenture tickets provide a full day of world-class tennis, plus entry to the AELTC’s finest bars, lounges and restaurants, including The Champions’ Room, The Renshaw Restaurant, and The Courtside Restaurant.

On arrival, debenture holders can park in a dedicated car park and enjoy fast-track entry via Gate 4 on Church Road, reserved exclusively for debenture guests.

Do debenture tickets include access to the exclusive debenture holder areas?

Yes. Along with the best seats on Centre Court or No.1 Court, debenture tickets grant access to the AELTC’s most prestigious bars, lounges, and restaurants—including The Renshaw Restaurant, The Courtside Restaurant, and The Champions’ Room (by ballot).

Why do debenture holders sell their tickets?

A Wimbledon debenture is a financial instrument that entitles the holder to premium seats on Centre Court or No.1 Court for every day of the Championships, over a five-year period.

Debentures are purchased by tennis fans and investors alike, and despite their high cost, each new issue is typically oversubscribed.

Many debenture holders choose to sell some of their tickets on the secondary market—where debenture tickets are the only Wimbledon tickets that can be legally bought and sold. Buyers can purchase tickets directly from the holder or via trusted third parties like Green & Purple.

Can I buy debenture tickets if I'm not a debenture holder?

Yes. You don’t need to be a debenture holder to buy debenture tickets—anyone can purchase them on the secondary market.

Choosing Your Tickets

Which are the best seats?

Debenture seats are widely considered the best at Wimbledon, offering premium views of the action:

  • Centre Court: Traditionally located in the front 14 rows (A–N) on the same level as the Royal Box.
  • A limited number are now also found in the 300s tier. No.1 Court: Debenture seats are in the front 17 rows (A–Q).

Can I choose a specific seat or location?

Yes. Our platform lets you view seat locations and choose specific seats based on your preferences—such as shade, proximity to the Royal Box, or viewing angle.

Will our seats be next to each other?

Yes. Most debenture tickets are sold in adjacent pairs. Since seat numbers are shown on listings, you can choose seats that are side by side.

Can I buy more than 2 adjacent seat tickets?

Yes. Some sellers list groups of 4, 6, 8, or more adjacent seats. Our system can also help you find side-by-side seats from multiple sellers to accommodate larger groups.

Can I buy single or odd-number tickets?

Yes. While debenture tickets are often sold in pairs, single and odd-number tickets are also available. Whether you're attending solo, adding a seat to an existing pair, or hosting an odd-numbered group, our platform makes it easy to find the right fit.

Many debenture holders list single or odd-number tickets for sale on Green & Purple.

Do children need a ticket?

Yes - children aged 5 and over require a valid ticket to enter the Wimbledon grounds.

Children under 5 do not need a ticket but are not permitted to occupy their own seat.

After Purchase

How and when will I receive my tickets?

Wimbledon debenture tickets are paperless and delivered as e-tickets to your myWimbledon App. You’ll need to present them on your mobile device to enter the grounds.

The AELTC typically issues tickets around 4 weeks before the Championships begin.
Once your payment is complete, your tickets will be transferred to your myWimbledon account no later than 7 days before your ticket date—or as soon as possible if purchased closer to the event.

Make sure we have the correct email address linked to your myWimbledon account to ensure prompt delivery.

Can I give tickets as a gift?

Yes. Wimbledon debenture tickets are the only tickets that can be legally transferred to another person, making them ideal as a gift for friends, family, or clients.
