Where can I park my car during the Wimbledon Tennis Championships?

On an average day at the Championships, the AELTC welcomes around 42,000 people through their gates. During the tournament, the population of the Wimbledon area almost doubles in size.

This surge means there is very little room to park in the surrounding streets of Wimbledon itself, with heavy traffic moving around the vicinity of the Wimbledon Grounds.

Can I book parking at Wimbledon?

Yes. There are various car parking options for The Championships, and while things can get busy, it is best to book your parking place well in advance.

Wimbledon attendees can book a car park space in either Car Park 6 or Car Park 10, located on Wimbledon Park Golf Course. If you have a debenture ticket then you can reserve a space at the designated Debenture parking, Car Park 8.

Directions to car parks are well signposted around Wimbledon village.

Be advised, while you can arrive on the day and park in either Car Park 6 or 10 at the golf course, these two official car parks can be very busy. You will have to pay a higher parking fee of around £30 per car and £40 for minibuses, if you don’t book ahead.

Can Debenture Ticket Holders reserve special parking spaces?

If you’re attending the Championships with a Debenture Ticket, you can book a parking space in Car Park 8 which is reserved only for Debenture Ticket Holders and disabled parking.

There is also a special Debenture drop-off zone for Debenture Ticket Holders inside Car Park 8.

Debenture ticket parking must be booked by the debenture holder either through the myWimbledon app or by calling the AELTC’s booking desk on +44 (0)1256 493535.

How soon can I book a parking space at Wimbledon?

To avoid disappointment, visitors can reserve their parking space online as early as Spring 2022 via the AA’s website. Online reservations will receive a £5 discount and a guaranteed space in one of the Wimbledon Park Golf Course Car Parks.

Are there any other car parks near the Wimbledon grounds?

You can also park at a various other nearby public car parks.

St Mary’s Church in Wimbledon Village (SW19 7BP) operates a first-come-first-serve parking service. This parking costs around £25, with the proceeds going to local charities.

Is there any street parking near the Wimbledon tournament?

Some local residents rent out their driveways during the Championships fortnight.
