February 2024

The tennis season continues, with events all over the world this February.

Alcaraz, Sinner and Medvedev all seek titles

The ATP 500 indoor hard event in Rotterdam usually boasts a strong field, and this year is no different. Australian Open champion Jannik Sinner is scheduled to play, as are Daniil Medvedev, Andrey Rublev and Holger Rune. There is also an ATP 500 event on clay, in Rio de Janeiro, where Carlos Alcaraz will play, along with GB's Cameron Norrie, and former Grand Slam champions Stan Wawrinka and Marin Cilic.

Medvedev and Rublev are the biggest stars playing in the Dubai ATP 500 at the end of the month, whereas the Acapulco ATP 500 in the same week boasts Alex Zverev, Rune, Taylor Fritz and Stefanos Tsitsipas.

Two WTA 1000 level titles up for grabs

The WTA 500 event in Abu Dhabi is headlined by Elena Rybakina, Ons Jabeur, and Maria Sakkari, who will all hope to put early exits at the Australian Open behind them. Two more high-level Middle Eastern tournaments follow, but both of them as WTA 100 level, in Doha and Dubai. They will both feature all of the top 15 ranked players in the world, including the above, and Iga Swiatek, Australian Open winner Aryna Sabalenka, and Coco Gauff.

There is also a WTA 500 event in San Diego at the end of the month, which last year was played in September, with Swiatek, Gauff, and Jessica Pegula scheduled to play.

We had a great time on Saturday

"Just wanted to let you know that we had a great time on Saturday and that it all went smoothly. I didn't realise it was better than making a booking in a restaurant, but even then we were very lucky to get a beautiful table for 6 at the Wingfield restaurant. It was the only one available! Thanks for helping me organise this nice day with the family and let's stay in touch for future years."
