Overseas Tennis Federations and Associations

The AELTC allocate some tickets to overseas tennis federations and associations, for distribution to their affiliated clubs. Clubs then allocate these tickets to their members, often with a lottery system. This may be a route for overseas club members to get Wimbledon tickets.

The Overseas Public Ticket Ballot

The Wimbledon Championships ticket allocation process has changed. The overseas ballot system has been merged with the UK Public Ballot which is now held online.

The Ballot is a lottery, in that you cannot ask for tickets to a specific court on a specific day, or even indicate a preference. If you win the ballot, you are offered one or two tickets (as required) for a full day on Centre Court, No.1 Court, No.2 Court or No.3 Court. You could end up sitting anywhere from No.3 Court on the first Monday, to Gentlemen’s Singles Final tickets on Centre Court.

The entry deadline for the Ballot for the 2023 Championships has already passed: it closed on 15th November 2022.

Be sure to check the Wimbledon website at the start of November this year to apply for the 2024 Ballot.

The Queue

A certain quantity of tickets will be available to be purchased on the day through the famous Wimbledon Queue.

If you don't manage to get tickets to the Wimbledon Tennis Tournament through the Public Ballot, you could try joining the famous Wimbledon Queue. If you are prepared to start queuing early enough, this is one of the cheapest ways to get a Show Court seat at the Championships.

The queue is open to UK and overseas visitors.

Debenture Tickets

If you are looking for a VIP experience at the Wimbledon Championships, a Debenture Ticket is the way to go.

Situated on the same seating tier as the Royal Box, Debenture Tickets are the most sought after tickets at the Tournament. Debenture Ticket seats give tennis fans the best views of the action on Wimbledon’s historic Centre Court or the Championship’s newly-renovated No.1 Court.

What is the dress code?

Visitors to The Championships are actively encouraged to wear smart casual clothing.

Debenture Ticket holders, in particular, should ensure they are wearing smart casual clothing to access debenture holder seats and exclusive lounges.

The rules are slightly different for those attending the Royal Box, who must wear more formal clothes, including a jacket and a tie to enter the Royal enclosures.

But while Debenture Ticket holders are advised to wear smart casual attire, the AELTC’s official dress code guidance states that Debenture Ticket holders are not required to wear a jacket and tie.

We had a great time on Saturday

"Just wanted to let you know that we had a great time on Saturday and that it all went smoothly. I didn't realise it was better than making a booking in a restaurant, but even then we were very lucky to get a beautiful table for 6 at the Wingfield restaurant. It was the only one available! Thanks for helping me organise this nice day with the family and let's stay in touch for future years."
