Green & Purple Photography Competition Terms and Conditions

1. Promoter

The competition is organised and promoted by Green & Purple Limited ('Green & Purple', 'we', 'our' or 'us').

2. Acceptance of these Terms

By entering the competition, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

3. Eligibility

Entry is open to individuals worldwide.

Entrants under the age of 18 must have the permission of a parent or legal guardian before entering.

Employees, contractors and immediate family members of Green & Purple may enter but are not eligible to win prizes.

4. Competition Theme

The theme of the competition is 'The Spirit of Wimbledon'.

Images may be taken inside or outside, while travelling to or from Wimbledon, or elsewhere, provided they clearly reflect the Wimbledon experience.

Images may be from any year and are not limited to the current Championships.

5. Entry Requirements

Each entrant may submit up to two photographs.

Images must be submitted through the official Green & Purple competition entry form.

Images must be submitted in JPG, JPEG or PNG format.

Each image must not exceed 5MB in size.

No purchase is necessary to enter.

6. Originality and Image Editing

Entrants must submit their own original work.

Fully AI-generated images are not permitted.

Reasonable editing is permitted, including cropping, exposure correction, colour correction, tonal adjustment, sharpening and similar photographic enhancements.

Images must not contain elements that have been artificially added, removed or materially altered in a way that misrepresents the original scene.

Green & Purple reserves the right to request original image files or additional information to verify compliance with these rules.

7. Rights and Permissions

Entrants must own the copyright in all submitted images.

Entrants are responsible for obtaining any permissions required from identifiable individuals appearing in their photographs.

Entrants confirm that their submission does not infringe the copyright, privacy, publicity or other rights of any third party.

Green & Purple reserves the right to disqualify any entry that it reasonably believes breaches these requirements.

8. Usage and Ownership of Images

Copyright and all other rights remain with the photographer.

By entering the competition, entrants grant Green & Purple a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use submitted images in connection with:

• the competition;
• announcing and promoting winners and shortlisted entries;
• Green & Purple's website;
• email communications;
• social media channels;
• publicity, marketing and promotional materials relating to Green & Purple.

Where practical, Green & Purple will credit the photographer when using their image. This may include a link to the photographer's website or social media profile, where provided, at Green & Purple's discretion and subject to the link being appropriate.

9. Judging

Entries will be judged on originality, quality and how effectively they capture the competition theme.

A shortlist may be created before final judging.

The judges' decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

10. Prizes

Prize details will be published on the competition entry page.

No cash alternative will be offered unless otherwise stated.

Green & Purple reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value if necessary.

11. Winners

Winners and shortlisted entries will also be announced on Green & Purple's Instagram and Facebook channels.

Winners will be contacted using the details provided on entry.

If a winner cannot be contacted within a reasonable period, Green & Purple reserves the right to select an alternative winner.

12. Liability

Green & Purple accepts no responsibility for incomplete, corrupted, lost or late entries.

Green & Purple shall not be liable for any technical failures, system interruptions or events beyond its reasonable control that affect the competition.

13. Privacy

Personal information submitted as part of the competition will be processed in accordance with Green & Purple's Privacy Policy.

Contact details will only be used for administering the competition and for any communications that entrants have expressly agreed to receive.

14. Changes and Cancellation

Green & Purple reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions or cancel, suspend or modify the competition where reasonably necessary.

15. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the laws of England and Wales.

16. Independence from Wimbledon

This competition is run by Green & Purple. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by or connected with Wimbledon, the All England Lawn Tennis Club (AELTC) or The Championships.
