Each year, Green & Purple helps debenture ticket holders sell tickets when their plans change, including close to the day of play.
Our platform is designed to support last-minute Wimbledon debenture ticket sales up to 2pm BST on the ticket date itself.
From one week before The Championships and throughout the tournament, our team is available seven days a week, from 9am to 10pm, to help with urgent listings, ticket transfers and last-minute support.
How last-minute is last-minute?
Flights are delayed, meetings overrun and plans change. Green & Purple helps debenture ticket holders respond quickly and reach buyers at short notice.
It is often still possible to sell Wimbledon debenture tickets close to the day of play, or even on the day itself.
Will my tickets actually sell?
In 2025 we sold all last-minute tickets. One seller called us mid-flight after realising a delay meant they would miss play. We helped them list their tickets at 2:35pm on the day of play, and they sold at the asking price at 2:42pm.
There are no guarantees of course. Whether tickets sell depends on the court, day, seat location, price and live buyer demand. It can also depend on how The Championships are unfolding, including which players are still in the draw.
A realistic price gives tickets the best chance of selling. This does not mean a distressed price. In some cases, last-minute tickets can still sell at a premium.
How last-minute selling works
- List your tickets
Log in to your Green & Purple account and list your tickets in the usual way. Price Assist will help you set a realistic asking price based on the latest market data.
- Transfer your tickets to Green & Purple
For last-minute sales, we ask sellers to transfer their tickets to our myWimbledon account. This allows us to complete the transfer to the buyer immediately once a sale is agreed.
- Your listing goes live
As soon as we receive the tickets, your listing can go live on Green & Purple.
- Buyers are notified
Once the listing is live, our ticket alert system notifies relevant potential buyers by email and SMS.
- Buyers can purchase or make offers
Buyers can purchase your tickets immediately using Buy It Now, or make an offer through the Green & Purple platform.
- We complete the transfer and payment
Once your tickets sell, we handle the ticket transfer to the buyer. Your sale proceeds are then transferred to you within 2 working days.
