Woman selling debenture tickets on mobile

Green & Purple helps verified debenture holders sell their Wimbledon tickets to tennis fans worldwide. You stay in control of your seats and your price. Buyers can buy instantly at your 'Buy Now' price, or negotiate with you through offers and counteroffers.

Step 1: Create your account

Creating your debenture holder account takes a few minutes and our team is on hand if you need help.. Click here to create your account.

Step 2: Add your ticket listing

Choose the day, court, seats, and quantity, then create your debenture ticket listing. If you have adjacent seats, you can list them together as a pair or a larger group (3, 4, or more). If you prefer, you can also split adjacent seats into single-seat listings.

Step 3: Set your price

Set your listing asking price (the price buyers see). You can use PriceAssist, which checks current market asking prices from both Green & Purple and third-party sources (such as other marketplaces and ticket resellers) and combines this with recent activity to give you a clear guide on what similar tickets are currently listed for.

You can also use Price Tracker to see what similar tickets have sold for on Green & Purple in past seasons, including typical monthly demand and price ranges.

The price you list, or the offer price you agree with a buyer, is the price the buyer pays. We do not add any buyer fees on top of your sale price.

This can help you price more competitively, while keeping more of the sale proceeds, because you only pay our seller commission. Many ticket resale platforms charge fees to both the seller and the buyer.

You can update prices at any time.

Step 4: Set your selling preferences

You can set an Auto-decline Offers Below Price. Any offer below this will be rejected automatically (you will be be notified).

You can also add a 'Buy Now' price so buyers can pay instantly, without making an offer.

Step 5: Complete seller verification

Before ticket listings go live sellers are verified to confirm ownership and reduce speculative listings. We may ask you to email evidence of your debenture and ticket allocation to service@greenandpurple.com before your listings go live.

We do not ask you to do this every time you list tickets. We only need it to confirm you are a debenture holder, or to confirm your seat allocation for the year. You can set up your listings before you are verified. Your listings will go live automatically as soon as verification is complete.

Step 6: Manage offers and agree a deal

When a buyer makes an offer, your auto-decline setting is applied first. If the offer is below your 'Auto-decline Offers Below Price', it is rejected automatically.

If the offer is not auto-declined, the negotiation runs on a 72-hour cycle. The seller has up to 72 hours to accept, decline, or make a counteroffer. If you counteroffer, the buyer then has up to 72 hours to accept, decline, or counter. This can continue back and forth, and buyers can make a maximum of 5 offers during any one negotiation on a listing.

If an offer is accepted, a 2-hour Checkout Exclusivity Period starts. During this time the buyer has exclusive rights to pay at the agreed price, and you must not sell, transfer, or give the tickets away elsewhere. After the period ends, the buyer can still pay, but you may accept other offers. If another offer is accepted, the original buyer cannot pay during the second buyer's exclusivity period.

If an offer has been accepted but the buyer does not pay, the accepted offer will expire after 6 days.

Step 7: Buyer pays securely

Buyers pay through Green & Purple using the payment options shown at checkout. You do not receive the buyer’s payment details.

Step 8: Transfer the tickets via myWimbledon

Once payment is completed, you transfer the tickets through the myWimbledon app. You transfer the tickets to Green & Purple’s myWimbledon account, and Green & Purple transfers them to the buyer’s myWimbledon account.

If you sell before the AELTC has distributed tickets (typically in May), we will remind you to transfer them as soon as tickets have been distributed.

Step 9: You get paid

We forward your sale proceeds within 2 working days after the buyer confirms receipt of the tickets in their myWimbledon account. You do not need to wait until after the event date to receive your sale proceeds.

Fees

Green & Purple charge a commission of 15% of the final sale price, plus VAT on the commission (VAT is charged on the commission, not the full ticket price).

FAQs

How does Green & Purple protect sellers?

Ticket transfers are handled through the AELTC's myWimbledon app and the process is integrated with it. Tickets are only transferred once full payment has been made.

Can I sell tickets if I am not the debenture certificate holder?

Yes. If you own Wimbledon debenture tickets but are not the primary certificate holder, you can still sell through Green & Purple.

How will I know when my tickets sell?

You will receive a notification email and the sale details will appear on your dashboard.

Can I list my tickets elsewhere as well?

Yes. If you sell elsewhere or tickets are no longer available, you must promptly update your Green & Purple listings to reflect the change.

Can I retract an accepted offer?

Yes. Outside the Checkout Exclusivity Period, you may retract and close an accepted offer, provided no other buyer has entered a new Checkout Exclusivity Period for those tickets.

Wimbledon testimonal

It was an easy process

"I thought I'd send you a short note to thank you for dealing so efficiently with my Wimbledon debentures in 2021. It was an easy process to sell the days I didn't want to Green and Purple and payment was made promptly. I look forward to dealing with you again in the future."
