Can I sell a Debenture Ticket?

Yes. A Wimbledon Debenture is a financial instrument (debt security) issued by the All England Lawn Tennis Ground which is owned by the All England Lawn Tennis Club (AELTC).

Debentures are issued every 5 years and give Debenture owners an allocation of Wimbledon Debenture Tickets for every day of The Championships, for a 5 year period.

In addition to 5 years of world class tennis. debenture owners are also granted access to the Debenture holders restaurants, bars and cafe’s, and a number of other benefits.

Debenture Tickets are freely transferable. If you are a debenture holder, or someone who has bought a ticket from a debenture holder, you can legally sell or resell your Wimbledon Debenture Ticket.

Wimbledon Debenture owners are also entitled to sell their entire Debenture.

Can I sell my Debenture ticket for a higher price the I paid for it?

Yes. There is an active secondary market for Wimbledon Debenture Tickets.

If you are a Debenture holder you will have paid a lump sum for your 5-year Debenture. You are entitled to advertise and sell your individual Debenture Tickets for whatever sum you wish.

If you bought your Debenture ticket from a Debenture owner, or other Debenture Ticket holder, you can also sell your ticket for whatever amount you wish.

Can I swap or exchange a Wimbledon Debenture Ticket?

Yes. It is possible to swap your Debenture Tickets with other Debenture Ticket holders.

Can I sell a non-Debenture Wimbledon ticket?

No. The AELTC strictly prohibits the resale of any non-Debenture tickets so you cannot cannot sell a non-Debenture Wimbledon ticket.

Wimbledon tickets which are transferred (or even advertised for sale or transfer) will be void.

The AELTC also state that anyone attempting to buy, sell, advertise or offer tickets to another person. could be prohibited from buying or applying for tickets in the future.

In 2021, the AELTC migrated to e-tickets and all tickets are now electronically tied to the initial owner trough the myWimbledon App.

Can I sell my ticket through Green and Purple?

Yes. Green and Purple was established to provide a service to Wimbledon Debenture owners and Wimbledon Debenture Ticket holders, both in the UK and overseas.
