Addressing a Niche Market Need

Talking to Hannah Prevett of The Times, Green & Purple founder and Wimbledon Debenture holder Natasha Bhatia explained the thought process behind setting up the company in 2020.

Green & Purple was founded to address a specific gap in the Wimbledon ticket resale market. Traditional platforms often lacked the transparency and efficiency needed for high-value debenture transactions. By creating a secure, user-friendly marketplace, Natasha explained how Green & Purple connects debenture holders directly with Wimbledon debenture ticket buyers, ensuring a seamless and trustworthy experience for both parties.

A Premier Platform for Debenture Tickets

At the time of writing, the platform hosts approximately 450 debenture tickets for both courts, with prices starting around £650 for mixed doubles days. On average, No. 1 Court tickets are priced at about £2,000, while Centre Court tickets average around £3,500. Notably, our largest transaction to date totalled £128,000 for a package including four tickets to both the men's finals and semi-finals. Factors such as seat location, sun exposure, and proximity to the Royal Box all influence ticket pricing.

Debenture Sales

Green & Purple also facilitates the resale of entire debentures. For instance, Centre Court debentures, originally sold for £116,000, are now available on the secondary market for up to £200,000.

Our processes integrate with the official myWimbledon App, providing a secure and seamless experience for both buyers and sellers.

We appreciate The Times' recognition and remain committed to making Wimbledon debenture ticket sales more accessible and transparent. Our goal is to connect debenture holders with tennis fans, allowing more enthusiasts to experience the best of Wimbledon.
