The rest day continues

As with last year's tournament, the 2023 Championships will be played without a middle-Sunday rest day.

Wimbledon’s rest day allowed players and the courts to take a breather from the busy tournament schedule.

To bring the Tournament’s program in line with the other three Grand Slam tournaments, Fourth Round matches are now played during Middle Sunday and the second Monday.

What time do the Grounds open?

The Grounds will continue to open each day of The Championships at 10am. Play on the outside courts starts at 11am, and on the Show Courts between 1pm and 1:30pm (except on the finals weekend, where Centre Court play starts at 2pm on Centre Court).

The Grounds usually close 45 minutes after the end of the last match of the day.

Wimbledon testimonal

We had a great time on Saturday

"Just wanted to let you know that we had a great time on Saturday and that it all went smoothly. I didn't realise it was better than making a booking in a restaurant, but even then we were very lucky to get a beautiful table for 6 at the Wingfield restaurant. It was the only one available! Thanks for helping me organise this nice day with the family and let's stay in touch for future years."
