Historic First: Queen’s Club Adds Women’s Event

For the first time, the prestigious Queen’s Club will host a WTA 500 event alongside its traditional ATP tournament. The women’s event kicks off just one day after the Roland Garros Final, making for a fast turnaround between clay and grass.

A strong women’s field is confirmed, including Jessica Pegula, Qinwen Zheng, Madison Keys, and Wimbledon champion Elena Rybakina. British favourites Katie Boulter and Emma Raducanu join Naomi Osaka as wildcard entries, ensuring local and international fan interest.

The men’s draw remains as competitive as ever, with Carlos Alcaraz, Jack Draper, Taylor Fritz, and Lorenzo Musetti all aiming to fine-tune their games ahead of Wimbledon.

Germany Hosts Key 500-Level Grass Tournaments

Germany plays a major role in the grass season with three critical ATP and WTA 500 events.

In Berlin, a strong WTA field includes Aryna Sabalenka, Coco Gauff, Jessica Pegula, and Jasmine Paolini. Naomi Osaka and Emma Raducanu will also appear thanks to wildcards, joined by Germany’s own Eva Lys.

Meanwhile, Iga Swiatek begins her grass campaign at Bad Homburg, aiming to build confidence on the surface. She’ll be joined by Pegula, Paolini, and rising star Mirra Andreeva.

On the men’s side, Halle hosts its traditional ATP 500 with World No. 1 Jannik Sinner leading the draw. Home favourite Alexander Zverev and Daniil Medvedev are also confirmed, while wildcards have been awarded to Brazil’s Joao Fonseca and Germany’s Jan-Lennard Struff.

What to Watch

As the grass season begins, all eyes will be on how players adapt after a grueling clay stretch. Can Swiatek find her footing on grass? Will Alcaraz and Sinner carry momentum into Wimbledon? And how will returning stars like Raducanu and Osaka perform?
