Wimbledon Championships Wifi

A good internet connection is a must at the Tournament. You'll need an internet connection when you arrive at the grounds to access your online e-tickets. You may also want to track the scores and live action on the myWimbledon App as the day progresses.

What are the Wi-Fi internet connection options at the grounds?

Why do I need an internet connection at the Championships?

In 2021, the All England Lawn Tennis Club (AELTC) introduced e-tickets. When entering the Wimbledon Grounds, you will need to access the myWimbledon App on your Android or IOS mobile phone, in order to present your e-ticket.

You can also install the myWimbledon App on a PC device or tablet, but it must be capable of connecting to the internet to show your ticket on entering or re-entering the Grounds.

The AELTC states that screenshots and printed paper copies of your ticket will not be accepted. The e-ticket process is still relatively new, so we would recommend that you do take a printed copy with you  - in case you have problems accessing the App on the day.

The myWimbledon App

A good internet connection will greatly enhance your experience at the Championships. You may want to share those special moments as they happen with your family and friends

In addition to storing your e-ticket, the myWimbledon App lets you access a constant stream of online content, including:

  • Live Scores
  • Live and on Demand Video
  • Maps of the Grounds
  • Wimbledon Channel Radio
  • Player information, stats and alerts
  • News, scores and results

FREE Wi-Fi options at the grounds

FREE Wi-Fi access can be found at the following locations:

  • The Centre Court Debenture Holders’ Lounge
  • The Court No. 1 Debenture Holders’ Lounge
  • Debenture bars and restaurants

In 2021 the AELTC started trialling FREE Wi-Fi access at the following locations:

  • Aorangi Terrace (The Hill)
  • At the ticket resale area
  • Along the east side of the Grounds
  • Around the No.1 Court Food Village and Tea Lawn
  • On the West side of Court 12

It is anticipated (but not yet confirmed) that additional Wi-Fi access points will be available at the 2022 Championships.

What about mobile data coverage and 5G?

All major mobile networks including Three, O2, EE and Vodaphone offer good indoor and outdoor coverage of Voice, 3G, 4G and 5G throughout the Grounds.

Wimbledon testimonal

We had a great time on Saturday

"Just wanted to let you know that we had a great time on Saturday and that it all went smoothly. I didn't realise it was better than making a booking in a restaurant, but even then we were very lucky to get a beautiful table for 6 at the Wingfield restaurant. It was the only one available! Thanks for helping me organise this nice day with the family and let's stay in touch for future years."
